Facebook Year in Summary

So I found an app that made a list of all of my semi-recent Facebook statuses. I started reading through them, thought it was a fun to look back at the past year kind of in fast forward, and decided I wanted to document them. What better way to document than to share it on the blog?? So here's my facebook status updates (minus a few nonsense ones) for the past year, well 10 and a half months since that's as far back as it went.

  • Craving a Sonic Breakfast Burrito so much that it's making me nauseous. Thank goodness for a dutiful husband who is not only willing to go, but excited that he is officially doing his first craving run this pregnancy :) (Tue, 07 Jun 2011 04:57:02 GMT)
  • I've had an insane amount of energy and motivation the past 2 days and got a ton of stuff done on practically no sleep cuz we're to the point where Mary is keeping me up all night. Finally got more than 10 hours of sleep last night which has resulted in me feeling exhausted today and like doing nothing. So a SNES Super Punch Out day it will be!! Senor Masked Muscle - You're MINE!! (Wed, 08 Jun 2011 18:52:04 GMT)
  • Lydia's in love with prunes lately. It's made for fun diapers :) (Fri, 10 Jun 2011 22:56:14 GMT)
  • I occasionally go through phases where I just ache to be a Primary chorister. Right now is one of those times. Someday my friends! And it will be wonderful! (Mon, 13 Jun 2011 02:34:57 GMT)
  • First overnight camping trip with Lydia... SUCCESS!! This girl was made for the outdoors. Lets hope Mary is the same way. (Fri, 24 Jun 2011 19:08:45 GMT)
  • All I have to say is only 19 more Sundays and then she'll be in Nursery. It will be joyous! (Sun, 03 Jul 2011 20:34:36 GMT)
  • Another super ornery Sunday for Lydia. However, I think I found the source this morning - MOLARS!! I didn't even think to check because I thought they didn't normally come for another few months, but she's already cut one on top and is working on another one. Now that we know, hopefully we'll have some Motrin induced reverence next Sunday :) (Mon, 11 Jul 2011 19:11:30 GMT)
  • Dreamed I went to visit my high school choir teacher, Mr. Schreiber, and went into labor in his office. Not only did he deliver me, but there ended up being TRIPLETS! Robert and Schreiber kept talking about all the $$ we saved on hospital bills. All I kept thinking was Schreiber didn't do as good of a job cleaning the babies as the nurses would have and there wasn't enough room in our car to take the babies home. OY! (Tue, 12 Jul 2011 18:41:05 GMT)
  • Laundry... we meet again... (Mon, 18 Jul 2011 16:53:08 GMT)
  • I'm starting to wonder how ANYONE can afford to rent an apartment in Santa Cruz. Holy Cabooses!! (Fri, 22 Jul 2011 20:07:48 GMT)
  • Just hosted my last 3rd/4th Sunday dinner. Thank you to all of our longtime friends and some new friends that have made one Sunday a month so great for the past almost 2 and a half years! Remember we will still be here next month, but you get to bring us dinner since we'll hopefully have a brand new baby ;) (Mon, 25 Jul 2011 07:02:13 GMT)
  • WE GOT INTO THE FAMILY STUDENT HOUSING!!!! We were on the waitlist, but were told that it didn't look very promising, but we found out this morning that we're up and can choose basically whatever floor plan and move in date we want! That saves us a ton of money and stress in so many ways including that we don't have to take a trip to Santa Cruz this week! So many prayers answered!! (Mon, 25 Jul 2011 19:16:17 GMT)
  • Surprise family visits = Awesome!! :) (Thu, 28 Jul 2011 05:24:09 GMT)
  • Congrats to Katie Wilcken McAllister and Mike McAllister on the arrival of their perfect little boy!! Bryson Michael McAllister born 8/5/2011 at 2:25pm. 7lbs 1 ounce 21 inches long. The whole fam is doing great! (Sat, 06 Aug 2011 16:17:38 GMT)
  • Lydia is super clingy and needy the past couple of days. I think she senses that there are changes in the near future. It's making it nearly impossible to pack. Or at least that's the excuse I'm using today ;) (Thu, 11 Aug 2011 01:03:00 GMT)
  • Lydia's down for a nap. Time to crank up the Everly Brothers and Carpenters and get some stuff done. Sleep soundly and for at least 2 hours little one! (Thu, 11 Aug 2011 19:23:58 GMT)
  • 3 years ago today Robert (after 45 minutes of hem and hawing) told me he liked me for the first time, and we held hands. Later that day we decided we were "a couple." With 5 years of history up to that point, it was a long time coming. Maybe I'm just sentimental, but I like the little anniversaries :) (Mon, 15 Aug 2011 17:17:00 GMT)
  • Congrats to Scott and Becky Wilcken!!!! Baby Anabelle born last night at 9:31pm - 9lbs 7oz 22 inches long. Scott has nicknamed her Ginorma Baby seeing as how that's about how much the twins weighed COMBINED when they were born. The whole fam is doing well :) (Wed, 17 Aug 2011 20:11:14 GMT)
  • Robert and I just watched the "Delivery - Parts 1 and 2" episodes of The Office. I think it's safe to say that we are fully prepared now ;) (Fri, 19 Aug 2011 17:58:08 GMT)
  • Still no baby, but it was great to spend time with my mom and Preston the past couple of days!! :) (Thu, 25 Aug 2011 12:33:42 GMT)
  • 2.5cm dilated and 80% effaced. They stripped my membranes AGAIN (maybe 3rd time is the charm) Induction is scheduled for Monday if I don't go into labor on my own before then. Final stretch people!!! (Fri, 26 Aug 2011 16:28:49 GMT)
  • Move phase 1: complete. Move phase 2: Tuesday morning. Woo Hoo! (Fri, 02 Sep 2011 20:54:10 GMT)
  • ATTENTION ALL WHO LOVE ME ;) I left my phone in Winnemucca. In fact, I left it on top of the car so it's probably smashed into a million bits on I-80 somewhere. So for the time being, if you need to contact me, call or text Robert. In other news, we've made it to Reno safely and will be driving the rest of the way to Santa Cruz tomorrow. (Wed, 07 Sep 2011 06:15:48 GMT)
  • WE MADE IT TO SANTA CRUZ!! Spent an hour at the beach today. I can't believe we can just go there any day we please :) I still have no phone, but I finally got our internet working so at least I have some contact with the outside world ;) Our apartment is still a mess but thanks to the help we had from Robert's mom and sister the past 2 days (Sad to let them go home today) it's starting to slightly resemble a home. I'm already falling in love with it :) (Fri, 09 Sep 2011 02:09:32 GMT)
  • Eating a FiliB's burro right now. Life is good :) (Sat, 17 Sep 2011 20:38:31 GMT)
  • Farewell AZ! It was a fabulous visit! See you Thanksgiving! (Tue, 20 Sep 2011 13:27:53 GMT)
  • It really is a miracle to me how babies survive older siblings! (Mon, 26 Sep 2011 00:37:08 GMT)
  • Another addition to our family is arriving tonight. Robert named it Butch. Any guesses? (Tue, 27 Sep 2011 18:00:45 GMT)
  • Ran an errand today without getting lost AND without using my GPS! Gold star for me! :) (Tue, 04 Oct 2011 05:14:39 GMT)
  • Santa Cruz's famous Marianne's Ice Cream with my Relief Society sisters tonight? I think YES! (Thu, 06 Oct 2011 20:01:08 GMT)
  • My wonderful friends who are not LDS aka Mormon. With the upcoming elections, lots of talk is going on about my church - cult or not, christian or not, etc. I have one request. Ask me questions or go to mormon.org and make your own decisions before just going along with what the media or other people say. I'm here if you ever want to discuss anything.(Tue, 11 Oct 2011 11:56:18 GMT)
  • Rocked out with Lydia to Katy Perry on the way to the grocery store. Life is good! (Tue, 18 Oct 2011 23:19:16 GMT)
  • For the first time since we moved, everything has a place AND everything is in its place in every room all at the same. Savor the moment people! I'm sure it won't last long and who knows if it will ever happen again ;) (Sun, 23 Oct 2011 06:11:31 GMT)
  • Our act is officially choreographed for the ward talent show. Our ward will either love it, or think we're insane and banish us forever. Only time will tell ;) (Thu, 10 Nov 2011 04:23:54 GMT)
  • Yesterday's make up on my face, snot on my shoulder, spit up on my pants, Lydia just gagged on a fruit snack and spit it out in my hand... yet I will still say that being a mom is the most amazing thing in the world. :) (Thu, 10 Nov 2011 18:17:58 GMT)
  • Lydia is 18 months old today!! Hooray! Nursery here we come! (Tue, 15 Nov 2011 05:25:03 GMT)
  • Mary laughed for the first time today! Too cute! (Fri, 18 Nov 2011 02:11:41 GMT)
  • Mary has been up from 1:00am to 6:00am the past 2 nights in a row. Not fussy, not hungry, just wanting to lay with Mommy in bed. I really think she only wants to be awake to keep me awake. Not cool! Suggestions?? (Sat, 19 Nov 2011 17:57:48 GMT)
  • Tomorrow we drive to Mesa, AZ for Thanksgiving. 5 days later we come back. 9 days later we go back to AZ for Christmas celebrations. 28 days later we come back. 16 days later we drive back to AZ to drop off the kids and go on a week long Mexican Riviera cruise with all my married siblings and some cousins. A fabulous couple of months ahead! (Tue, 22 Nov 2011 15:59:55 GMT)
  • Back in Santa Cruz. It's great to be home. Almost makes me sad that we're leaving again next week for so long. (Tue, 29 Nov 2011 16:47:09 GMT)
  • Just put Lydia down for her nap an hour early. It's been one of those mornings. (Sat, 03 Dec 2011 19:50:18 GMT)
  • Crossed the Arizona state line. There's no place like home for the holidays! (Thu, 08 Dec 2011 03:53:18 GMT)
  • Thinking of the Santa Cruz ward and stake Christmas events we're missing this weekend. Hope all goes well! Try to have as much fun as possible without us :) (Sun, 11 Dec 2011 02:17:09 GMT)
  • 9 years ago today I underwent brain decompression surgery. The whole experience changed my life and shaped who I am today. I can't believe how long it's been. I'm thankful for trials that make us stronger, better people! :) (Mon, 12 Dec 2011 18:10:36 GMT)
  • You know that awkward moment when you go through the Sonic drive-thru just to get a drink with a full bag of food from Filiberto's in your lap... Totally worth it!! (Wed, 28 Dec 2011 16:48:39 GMT)
  • It's official. I'm the PRIMARY CHORISTER!! Dreams do come true! (Sun, 01 Jan 2012 23:48:28 GMT)
  • We always knew Mary rocked, but now she rolls!! We just witnessed her rolling over from her back to her front. First time rolling over either way. Yay baby!! (Wed, 04 Jan 2012 00:28:01 GMT)
  • I wonder if my girls think that my outfit isn't complete without a little of their snot on it (Sat, 07 Jan 2012 16:17:06 GMT)
  • All 3 girls, myself included, battling coughs and pink eye. I had to suck it up yesterday while Robert was at school for most of the day. But he's home today, so now it's time to milk it! (Wed, 11 Jan 2012 16:00:41 GMT)
  • Watched Mars Needs Moms last night. I'm undecided on what I think about the movie as a whole, but it definitely made me cry, and it might be safe to say it would make most moms cry. (Sat, 14 Jan 2012 18:31:09 GMT)
  • Just figured out that our whole piano is almost exactly a half step flat. At least it's mostly in tune with itself. Can't expect too much out of a $250 craigslist piano :) (Mon, 16 Jan 2012 01:22:39 GMT)
  • I hate moments when I'm just plain stupid. For example, I was running a ton of errands yesterday and forgot to put the double stroller, purchased brand new 4 months ago, back in the car. Just left it on the side of the road by the Goodwill in downtown. Didn't realize until today. It's long gone :( (Wed, 18 Jan 2012 20:14:03 GMT)
  • Goodbye LA! We'll see you again tomorrow. We need to go drop off the kiddos with their grandparents first. Then, CRUISE HERE WE COME!! (Sat, 21 Jan 2012 02:29:21 GMT)
  • It was AMAZING!! But I'm so happy to be back with my girlies! (Mon, 30 Jan 2012 05:54:49 GMT)
  • Step One: Unearth our home from the 2 and a half months of craziness it's been through.  Step Two: Literally run my buns off and lose the SEVEN POUNDS I gained from the cruise plus the rest of my pregnancy weight.  Step Three: Resist the urge to go on another cruise FOREVER instead of doing steps 1 and 2 ;) (Tue, 31 Jan 2012 20:28:22 GMT)
  • Had a fun morning at the park with my Santa Cruz peeps! It was an eventful outing, complete with finding a baggy of weed and Lydia drinking a random lady's cup of coffee. Lovely ;) (Fri, 03 Feb 2012 22:36:44 GMT)
  • Does anyone else find it redundant that I have to mail in a form to utah state tax commission stating that I'm filing electronically? (Tue, 07 Feb 2012 00:36:28 GMT)
  • I just did the math. My parents have had between 3 and 5 teenage children in the house for the past 21 years straight. Some call them saints, some call it insanity, I call it love :)(Sun, 12 Feb 2012 09:32:19 GMT)
  • Both of my girls are ready for the next size of clothes, Lydia for 2T/24 months and Mary for 6-9 month clothes. So I'm putting away all of the clothes that are too small and I'm totally bawling!! They are just growing too fast! I'm such a mommy! (Thu, 16 Feb 2012 21:36:11 GMT)
  • I feel like I got so much done this week. Then I realize that I am only halfway through everything I hoped to get done this week. Oi! A long night ahead! (Sun, 19 Feb 2012 04:05:39 GMT)
  • I asked Robert out on a date tonight. Not quite as sweet as our asking/answering for Valentines. I dumped an ice cold cup of water on him while he was in the shower then handed him a note that said "It would be even 'cooler' if you went on a date with me tonight. Circle: Yes or No" I had him answer right away so he couldn't use answering to get revenge later. Hehehe I'm so sneaky :) (Fri, 24 Feb 2012 16:09:14 GMT)
  • Just booked all of our flights for the two trips I/we are doing in March. It seems we just can't stay put! ;) (Sat, 25 Feb 2012 07:10:03 GMT)
  • I'm thinking it's time for a game night, complete with Totino's pizza rolls maybe homemade ice cream. Who's with me?!? (Mon, 27 Feb 2012 01:32:18 GMT)
  • Had a great day at the beach with great friends! Somehow we managed to forget to sunblock Lydia again. We brought it, and we talked about doing it several times, but it never got done. Poor girl's face and legs are fried :( (Sun, 04 Mar 2012 04:54:16 GMT)
  • May or may not have crawled under the gate of the Houston Temple with 2 of my sisters-in-law tonight. It's currently closed for construction, we wanted a picture, need I say more?? (Sat, 17 Mar 2012 03:32:17 GMT)
  • Today I (with the help of my wonderful husband) got the house completely cleaned up, I taught piano, and played with my girls. Now both girls are napping, the house is spotless and I'm working on my Primary music stuff. Life is GREAT!!! (Wed, 21 Mar 2012 22:34:46 GMT)
  • Told the Primary I'd have a great review game for Singing Time tomorrow and I have no idea what I'm going to do!!! Starting... to... hyper... vent... ilate!!! (Deep Breath) Okay, let's get to work! (Sat, 24 Mar 2012 23:54:31 GMT)
  • Does the fact that Robert and I could not stop laughing after seeing the car in front of us run over a squirrel make us horrible people? (Mon, 26 Mar 2012 21:51:26 GMT)
  • First night with both kids sharing their same room. Wish us luck! (Tue, 27 Mar 2012 05:04:16 GMT)
  • Robert got the NSF fellowship! $30,000-$40,000 a year for the next 3 years! Woot woot!!! We're going out to celebrate! Can someone say Kianti's?? (Fri, 30 Mar 2012 23:47:11 GMT)
  • My ear is ringing. Who's talking about me??? (Thu, 05 Apr 2012 17:33:40 GMT)
  • I was six inches away from literally rubbing elbows with Steve Young tonight. Awesome. (Mon, 16 Apr 2012 03:45:31 GMT)
  • So my usual day to clean the bathroom is Wednesday, and I have become really consistent with this, however last Wednesday was extra busy so it didn't get done. It got real nasty real fast. So it figures that in the past 3 days when it has been especially gross, we have had more random people, neighbors, and friends need to use our bathroom than in the past 7 months combined. It's clean now :) (Thu, 19 Apr 2012 03:36:21 GMT)
  • Sometimes I catch myself thinking that the unseasonably warm weather we are having of 80+ degrees feels kind of hot. Then I think of how all my family in Mesa, AZ is roasting in 100+ degree weather this weekend and suddenly I'm okay :) (Sat, 21 Apr 2012 00:31:36 GMT)
  • We have a showing today at a 3 bedroom place we REALLY want. We'll know by the middle of next week whether or not we got it. Cross your fingers and maybe say a prayer or 2 for us! (Sat, 21 Apr 2012 17:05:46 GMT)
  • We didn't get the place. I guess Heavenly Father has an even better place waiting for us. (Mon, 23 Apr 2012 19:54:43 GMT)
  • Thursday = Laundry Day at the Richardson home. I usually do 5 loads, but today I did 10. Could it have anything to do with the fact that Robert agreed to fold all of the laundry by himself tonight? (Folding is my least favorite chore. We normally do it together, but he was too busy with schoolwork the last couple weeks.) I plead the 5th (Thu, 26 Apr 2012 20:58:02 GMT)
  • Attention LYMANITES!!! Turns out we ARE going to the MDB/Reunion in Oak City! I can't wait to see everyone!!!!!!!! (This only lets me tag 20 people or I would have tagged the whole crew!) (Fri, 27 Apr 2012 22:33:02 GMT)
I'm sure you didn't enjoy that as much as I did, but I thought it was fun :)

Beach Bums

We decided when we moved here that we should really take advantage of how close we are to the beach and go as often as possible. Lately we've been doing a really good job of that. Lydia will even ask at least once a day, "Beach please?" We oblige as often as possible. :)

Until this past weekend we would just go have a picnic, wade a little bit in the water, and build sandcastles, but this weekend our friends called and said they were going to attempt surfing, so we joined them. The men rented wetsuits, a surfboard, and a paddle board. The women built sandcastles with the littles and laughed at our hubbies doing their best to surf. Eventually they got to the point where they could at least somewhat balance while standing on the board. In time, I'm sure they will all be masters ;)

I think this picture is awesome. I just wish he was
holding the surfboard instead of the boogie board.

A glimpse into the future perhaps?

Once again, it was a great time with great friends! Next time, I'm going to try my luck at surfing. It should be an adventure!
P.S. If you're wondering why Lydia has no clothes on, she dove into the water fully clothed. Time to get this girl in swimming lessons before she drowns herself.

Easter 2012

So I don't know about you, but Easter totally snuck up on us this year. Usually we like to make a big deal and have several traditions of things we do the week leading up to Easter. This year however it was the day before and I was sitting on the couch and said out loud, "Oh yeah, Easter is tomorrow!" So we pretty much failed this year, which is too bad too because we've done a really good job in the past focusing on the atonement and what Easter is really about. Our loss. We did manage to pull off a few celebrations.
First the Kaspars, a family in our ward, had an Easter Egg Hunt at their beautiful home the day before Easter.

The Kaspar boys are so good with Lydia.
They kept her entertained as they waited...

...and waited

...and waited for the hunt to start.

Once the egg hunt started Lydia knew exactly what
was going on and gathered tons of eggs. There was a
Primary Easter Egg Hunt a couple weeks before,
so she knew the drill :)

Easter Sunday - Robert's mom sent us some great Easter dresses for the girls and we got some great pictures after church.

Our Happy Family

Sisters

Cheesy Grin

Miss Mary

Kissies!

The way Lydia smiles for pictures lately.
I think she thinks it is cute :)

Always on the run!

Since Easter caught us so off guard, we didn't dye eggs until the day after for Family Home Evening. Lydia has been especially in to coloring lately so it was extra fun to watch how much she loved it.

I told Robert to look awesome, and this is what I got. Riiiiiiight ;)

Mary just happily played while we dyed.

Of course, Robert's annual equation egg.

He tells me this says: The empirical optimal decision under squared error loss of...
a distribution with parameter 'x' is...
..."eggs" bar. What a nerd!!

Our finished masterpieces

It was fun to see Lydia have a genuine response to the eggs and basket. She's finally grown up to the point that she can follow what is going on. It is so fun!!

I told her to smile. "Normal" pictures of her are
becoming more and more a rarity, the little ham!

And that was our Easter! We still have a few empty Easter eggs lying around the house that escaped being put away with the rest. Lydia will pick one up, open it, and start asking where the candy is then throw a fit when we tell her it's all gone. Don't worry little one! Another candy filled holiday will be here before you know it!

Date Night: Downtown Scavenger Hunt

A few weeks ago Robert planned a date night scavenger hunt for us. So we dropped the kids off with a babysitter and headed to downtown for our adventure. We found out earlier that day that Robert got the NSF (National Science Foundation) fellowship! $30,000-$40,000 a year for the next 3 years starting in June! To celebrate we went to a little more expensive place than we usually do, Kianti's.

After dinner Robert busted out our scavenger hunt list:
Yellow Purse
Gumball Machine
T-shirt with an animal on it
Small Ballerina
Paintbrush
Former Disney Star CD
Skateboard
Sparkly Necklace/Beads
Book about vampires but not werewolves
Pink High heels
Big Fuzzy Coat
Robert’s Ring Size

So we went from shop to shop until we found everything. Downtown Santa Cruz has the best variety of random little shops.

Gumball Machine

Book about vampires but not werewolves

Former Disney Star CD

After taking the above picture of Robert imitating Selena, I seized the opportunity to make him look like a fool, told him that I needed to take another picture because the flash was bad in the first one, and took a video instead. I'm so sneaky ;)

Big Fuzzy Coat

Sparkly Necklace/Beads in the same store we got Robert's Ring Size and bought him a new wedding band.

T-shirt with an animal on it

Pink high heels

They made me so tall!!

Yellow purse

Paintbrush

Small Ballerina

Skateboard

It was a fun date night, and so nice to get out without the kids in tow. Feel free to copy our scavenger hunt list, but I doubt your pictures will be nearly as cool as ours ;)

If You're Going To San Francisco

The top choir at Robert's and my high school, Chorale, does a choir tour every year. The location is different every year, but every 2 to 3 years they come to San Francisco. This year was one of those years and my sister, Aubrie, and Robert's sister, Aly, are both in the choir. So one of the days they were in town we drove up to San Francisco to meet them. We went with them on a cruise tour of the Bay and under the Golden Gate Bridge. We had an awesome time. Robert and I did this same choir tour to San Francisco our Senior year 7 years ago, but Robert hated me at the time for dating someone else, so it was fun to go with him now that we are on good terms with one another and reminisce about the olden days ;)

Auntie Aubrie and Lydia

Aly with some crazy kids :)
Any guesses what happened a second after this picture was taken?
I'll give you a hint: That string Lydia is pulling is elastic.

Alcatraz

It's always so great to see any of our family, even if it is for just a couple of hours. I'm glad it worked out that we could :)

Mary's "6 Month" Stats

We had this smiley baby's 6 month check up a week short of her turning 7 months, on March 22, 2012. Here's how she measured up:
Height: 27.5 inches - 89th percentile
Weight: 17lbs 10 ounces - 68th percentile
Head circumference: 44cm - 80th percentile

Mary is starting to sit on her own. She is scooting and rolling around everywhere. She has cut her 2 bottom teeth, but signs of the top two remain to be seen. She LOVES to eat. She even has done meat baby food just fine which was our final downfall with Lydia. She loves her sister and is still almost always the happiest most content baby you'll ever see. It makes all the other mommies jealous ;)

We love our little Miss Mary!

March Wedding Madness

In March we had 2 weddings and a ring ceremony within a week of each other. It started out with me taking Mary, leaving Robert with Lydia, and flying to Mesa. Robert couldn't come to both Mesa and Houston the next week so he chose the Houston trip. So I had my first flying with a baby experience on my own. Mary was PERFECT!!

I should note that I am just holding the camera, so no
one is coercing this smile. She is just such a happy child!

And I think this picture is just precious.

Within 10 minutes after taking off she fell
asleep and was asleep the entire flight.

The first wedding was Robert's cousin, Mallory's to Brandon Giles. The wedding dinner, ceremony, reception, EVERYTHING was BEAUTIFUL!! I'm so glad I was able to come. And it's exciting to have another cousin-in-law join me, Jenn, and Jonathan in the Richardson clan.

The second wedding was the next day and it was my very good, longtime friend, Tyson Oliver to Afton Willis. I've been friends with Tyson since junior high and to say that we've been through thick and thin is an understatement. I consider him one of my closest friends, and I'm so happy he made the choices necessary to be married in the temple for time and all eternity. I had the honor of attending the sealing and it was glorious, and Afton rocks. I couldn't picture a better match for Tyson.

So that was a whirlwind of a trip. Fly over Wednesday, wedding Thursday, wedding Friday, and fly back Saturday, but it was well worth it.

A week later we packed up the whole family and flew to Houston for a ring ceremony for Terrel (Robert's brother) and Jenn. They did a special ring ceremony so that Jenn's family could be a part of their wedding since they weren't able to be at the actual wedding 2 and a half years ago.
We almost missed our flight. Picture 5:30 in the morning, a family with 4 bags of luggage, a stroller, a diaper bag, and 2 babies, running in the rain from the economy lot to the terminal because there isn't time to wait for the shuttle. By the time we checked our bags, frantically went through security, and then ran to the gate, we were a miserable sight. But thanks to our flight being delayed by 20 minutes, we made it otherwise it would have taken off without us. Despite the stressful start, we had a great time in Houston.

Relaxing lunch right after we got to Terrel and Jenn's house.

Nothing like a good old fashioned game of

We went to the Houston Children's Museum. A lot of fun art and science fun to do there with the kids.

Mary munching on a fruit popsicle. She liked it. What baby wouldn't? :)

After the museum we went and got some genuine Texan BBQ, then we went to see the Houston Temple. Turns out the grounds were closed for construction so first we took pictures from outside the gate.

But then we decided that wasn't enough so...

Yep. We broke into temple grounds via crawling under the gate. Jenn, Aly, and I are the only ones who crawled under. The rest drove around and found an open gate.

We took pictures until a security guard came and told us to leave. We are so rebellious ;) Then we went to Baskin Robbins to finish off the night.

They were constantly on the rampage together. Two peas in a pod, these two

Robert had grown out his beard, mainly per my request because I like it :) But he wanted to be clean shaven for the ring ceremony, so off it came.

He experimented with a couple different styles before
shaving it all off. I wasn't as much of a fan of this.

Handsome, smooth faced boy :)

Wedding video material for sure

Good times. The next day we flew home. The flight back was the roughest as far as keeping the kids happy, but at long last we made it.

This is our "We Survived" picture

Yay for fun trips with family!!
