Do you remember a year ago when I did
this post about a cottage that I had fallen in love with when looking for housing? If not, let me refresh your memory. A year ago there was a cottage that I had fallen in love with when looking for housing in the Santa Cruz area. It was in Ben Lomond which is a very small town north of Santa Cruz. I dreamed of living in this place! Anyway, back to the present, we have been looking for a new place for a while now. We're hoping for something off campus, close to the same price, with more space in the main living/dining area, better parking situation, and a dishwasher. Anyway, we're on craigslist all of the time, and lo and behold yesterday that same cottage showed up for rent.
That's not even the crazy part. The crazy part is that we aren't even considering it as a possibility. Now that we live here we know that it is in no way a good choice for us. Among other things, it's not nearly as easy a commute as Google Maps lead us to believe, and although it is in our same stake it's not in our ward, and we LOVE our ward! It's just crazy to me how sometimes even when you think nothing is going your way you look back and realize it happened just the way you would have chosen if you had known. It's nice to have Heavenly Father looking out for us. :)
